There were once copies of this, the text of the FCBA, available on the Internet in text/html on US Government web sites but it seems that they have been removed; my attempts to find it finally turned up a PDF (a non-searchable one!), which I'm pasting here as text. (Thank you, Google, for helping!) I'll be doing the same shortly for the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), which shares the same fate. -ed.
This is an important text because one frequently comes across "Summaries" that consumer advocates consider dishonest and misleading.
Questionable so-called summaries and guides include Experian's, the ones that one often finds on the back of credit billing statements, and even the FTC's: 1 2.
