Rather bowdlerised, this version: check out Percy's Reliques for the version with the rude words in it!

Hi, where can we find the naughty version? John Vandenberg 21:27, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Non-Bowdlerised versions at http://www.polenth.com/myth/more.html and http://www.traditionalmusic.co.uk/child-ballads-v8/child8-v8%20-%200228.htm
See also http://www.polenth.com/myth/percy.html which claims it was Percy's Reliques which originated the Bowdlerised version, and attributes the original to "a publication called 'A True Relation of the Dreadful Combat Between More of More Hall and the Dragon of Wantley'", which did not name an author.
More than just the rude words removed in the "Bowdlerised" version, unless you think Rotherham is not to be mentioned in polite society. --JohnGrantNineTiles (talk) 11:56, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
