Talk:When I Consider How my Light is Spent

This is the same entry as "On His Blindness," which, I believe is the correct name of the sonnet.

Left untitled by Milton[edit]

My 60s copy of The Norton Anthology lists this with the longer title, but like many anthologies they seem to have been following the first-line convention for works left untitled by the author. The title "On his blindness" is just a description, which has been adopted as title by some publications as an alternative to the first-line convention.

There is good argument whether to use the added editorial punctuation or keep the original less heavily punctuated form. It might make sense to keep both available for readers to choose. I'm not sure what the guiding rules are for Wikisource -- maybe the "preserve multiple versions" argument doesn't hold water -- in any event, these two entries represent the same great poem.
