Usage[edit]

This template formats the character name at the beginning of a passage in a play or drama.

The name will be italicized and followed by a period.

Parameters[edit]

  • 1: Name of the character speaking the line.
  • 2: Optional. Establishes the width of space in which the Name will appear. Default width is 5em.
  • 3: Optional. Indent width at the head of the line, preceeding the space allocated by 2. Default is 1em of indentation.

The mighty Troy would be indeed disgraced<br />
If I should fly one man.

Renders as:

Ulysses. That will I never do!
The mighty Troy would be indeed disgraced
If I should fly one man.
