Usage[edit]

A template to mark text as creative work title. Most browsers will render this with italics. Note that this is distinct from the standard MediaWiki method of generating italics (''example'' or example), as that uses the i HTML tag, which stands for idiomatic text—this template uses the cite HTML tag. Note that this template should only contain the work's title and nothing else, even if it's used to identify the work. For more information check out the official W3C guidelines.

Proper usage of this template:

  • I am currently reading the {{cite|Emily of New Moon}} by L. M. Montgomery and it's quite enjoyable.

to produce:

  • I am currently reading the Emily of New Moon by L. M. Montgomery and it's quite enjoyable.
