Usage

[edit]

Put…

{{nopf}}

…at the start of the footer to prevent the so-called "false paragraph" problem in the Page: namespace. This is necessary if the proofreaders opt to preserve line breaks in the page content in order to keep the same lines layout as in the original book for easier proofreading and validation.

An example of such "false paragraph" problem when not using this template: https://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Page:Creation_by_Evolution_(1928).djvu/64&oldid=14470294

The most lightweight non-invasive usage of this template is the addition of {{subst:nopf|blankline}} in the beginning of the 'Footer' property of Index pages. This way this template will be automatically substituted by a blank line and won't be referenced from many pages.
