Prayers ordered to be said, kneeling, at the end of every low Mass, by a decree of His Holiness, Leo XIII.

The Priest with the people recites the Mail Mary thrice; then

THE SALVE REGINA.

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope; to thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send our sighs, weeping and mourning in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thy eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet, Virgin Mary!

V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray.

O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with favor upon Thy people, who cry to Thee; and through the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of her Spouse, Blessed Joseph, of Thy Holy Apostles, Peter and Paul, and all the Saints, mercifully and graciously hear the prayers, which we pour forth to Thee, for the conversion of sinners and the liberty and exaltation of Holy Mother Church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Add the Invocation: St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. We humbly beseech God to command him: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by thy divine power thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who roam through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
