Sequel to "The Moon Pool (short story)" which appeared in the All Story Weekly, in 22 June 1918. Both stories were later reworked into the novel The Moon Pool in 1919. The protagonist, Dr. Goodwin, would later appear in Merritt's second novel The Metal Monster (1920).
