REFORMED CHURCH OF AMERICA, Board of Education of, a body organized in 1828 by the General Synod to administer funds for the sustenance of needy students in the ministry. It was incorporated in 1869; since then it has managed the scholarship funds independently of the synod. Rutgers College is named for the first president of this board, Col. Henry Rutgers.
