Arumukham Pillai, M., Rao Bahadur; born 1859; educated at Government and Mission Schools, Karur; entered Government service 1882; rose to the position of Deputy Collector; rendered conspicuous services during the famine of 1891-92, for which he was rewarded by the title of Rao Bahadur in 1892. Address. Tanjore, Madras Presidency.
