Biddulph, John, Colonel: born, 1840: son of Robert Biddulph, of Ledbury; educated at Westminister: entered the Bengal Cavalry, 1858: served in the mutiny: joined the Indian Staff Corps; A.D.C. to Lord Northbrook when Viceroy, 1872-6: Member of the Mission to Yarkand, 1878-4: employed on a secret mission to countries beyond Gilgit, 1877; acting A.G.G.
