Coughlan, Cornelius, V.C. Mutiny Veteran; s. of Edward Coughlan; b. 1828; educ; at Eyrecourt, Co. Galway; served as Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Colour-Sergeant and Serg-Major in the 75th regt. for 21 years, and as Serg-Major in the Connaught Rangers for 21 years; was present at the siege of Delhi (when he won V.C. for acts of bravery), and relief of Lucknow.
