Krishnamacharlar, S., Rao Sahib (19001, B.C.E., retired Executive Engineer; b. 1855; educ: Kumbakonam College, and the Madras Civil Engineeruig College; passed B.C.E., 1877; entered service in the P.W.D., rose to the position of Executive Engineer; his splendid work in the famine of 1877 secured for him extra service towards pension.
