Muhammad Hamdam, Sardar, Ludhiana; g.s. of a former Amir of Afghanistan who was driven out of the country by Dost Muhammed; the family has been enjoying a pension of Rs. 3,600 per annum from the British Government together with a grant of 4,000 acres of land; succeeded his father, Shahazada Nazir, 1895; receives an annual pension of Rs. 1,200 from the Government; is a Divisional Durbarri, and a Tahsildar in the Gujarat District.
