Muhammad Tagi, Prince Suraya Qudr, Mirza, Lucknow; one of the surviving members of the ancient Royal family of Oudh; b. Calcutta, 1858; m. daughter of Wajid Ali Shah, 5th, King of Oudh; invited to Viceroy’s Durbar, 1881; Member, General Committee of Dispensaries and Poor Houses, his birth was celebrated with great pomp and splendour, and the expenses of the marriage is said to have run up as high as Rs. 45,000. Recreations: Caligraphy and Riding. Publications a number of books yet unpublished. Address: Lucknow, U.P., India.
