​O’Dwyer, Hon’ble Sir Michael Francis, B.A., C.S.I., (1908); K.C.S.I., I.S.O., Lieutenant-Governor, Punjab; b. 1864; s. of John O’Dwyer of Barrowstown, Tipperary; educ: St. Stanislaus College, Tallamore, and Balliol College, Oxford; passed B.A., 1885; gained 1st class Honor in Law: joined service, 1885; Director of Land Records and Agriculture, Punjab, 1896; Settlement Officer, Alwar and Bharatpur States, 1897; Resident, Hyderabad (Deccan), 1909; Agent to Governor-General in Central India, 1910-12; Lieutenant-Governor, Punjab, 1913.
