Rice, Percival Stanley Pitcairn, I.C.S., educ: New College, Oxford; joined service as Assistant Collector and Magistrate, 1891; the same year he was attached to Revenue Survey Party No. 1, and Revenue Settlement Party No. 5; acted in various places in the capacity of Head Assistant Collector, Senior Assistant Collector, Principal Assistant Collector, Revenue Officer, Tungabhadra Project Investigation, etc., until he became Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, 1905; acting District and Sessions Judge, 1905; on special duty to arrange for organisation of the District Court, Guntur, 1905; Collector and Magistrate, 1908.
