Srinivasa Rao, Malur, M.A., M.D., B.Sc, (Edin.), D.P.H. (Cantab.); F.C.S. (London); Director of Public Health Institute and Deputy Sanitary Commissioner, Government of Mysore, since 1912; b. 1864; educ: Wardlaw College, Bellary; Madras Christian College; and Edinburgh University. Joined the Doveton College, Madras, as Professor of Physical Science, 1888; Head Master, High School, Kurnool, 1889-93; joined the Mysore Medical service as Assistant Surgeon, 1896; deputed by the Mysore Government to undergo a course of training in Bacteriology at Agra, 1897; Chemical Examiner and Bacteriologist, Mysore,1897; Professor of Biology, Central College, Bangalore, 1898; Director of Public Health Institute and Deputy Sanitary Commissioner to Government of Mysore, 1912.
