Subbaraya Charya, Srimushnam Vyakarna; Mahamahopadhyaya (1911); Pandit of Tirupati; claims descent from one Arya Charlu, a pandit of considerable Sanskrit learning in the Madras Presidency; b. 1837; educ: under many eminent Pandits in Sanskrit Literature; State Pandit of Tanjore, and Examiner in the Conference of Pandits held at Tanjore, Chirutanur, Mysore, and various other parts of the Presidency; a recognised authority on Sanskrit and Scholastic matters.
