Vane, Frederick William, I.S.O. (1903); s. of late George Vane; b. 1852; educ: Queenwood College, Hants, and at Brussels; joined service in Ceylon as Inspector of Post Offices, 1870; acted on many occasions as Postmaster-General and Director of Telegraphs, etc.; Controller of Government Stores, and Secretary, Savings Bank, Ceylon, 1900-08; retired, 1908. Recreations: Riding, Golf, and Gardening. Address: Glenthorne, Dorset Road, Bexhill-on Sea, Sussex. Clubs: Constitutional.
