AUBE, Jean Paul (1837—). A French sculptor. He was born at Longwy (Meurthe-et-Moselle), and was educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Among the numerous statues and other works executed by him are the following: "Dante Alighieri" (1880), at Paris; "Général Joubert à Rivoli," at Bourges; "Gambetta," at Paris.
