King′ston, Rt. Hon. Charles Cameron, P. C., premier and attorney-general of South Australia and minister of trade and commerce in the Barton cabinet (Australian commonwealth), was born at Adelaide, South Australia, in 1850.  He is an advanced Liberal in politics, and has represented West Adelaide in the local assembly since 1881, and has repeatedly held office.  In 1897–98 he was president of the national Australasian federal convention which sat successively at Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne and framed the bill to establish the Australian commonwealth.
