XCVII. Nathaniel Gorham to Caleb Strong.^[1]

I recd your favour from N York and was pleased to find that you had got on so well. … We have now under consideration the 18th Article which is that the United States shall guarantee, &c. &c.^[2]

I am in hopes we shall be done in about 20 days. There are several things referred which will take some time.
