FROM A. T. WICKOFF[1]

Columbus, O., Oct. 26, 1875.

On behalf of the Republicans of Ohio we thank you for the very valuable aid you gave the cause of honest money during the recent canvass in this State. Much of the credit for the victory gained at the late election is due to you for the very able and convincing manner in which you presented to the people the questions at issue. You deserve and have the thanks of the people of this country for your effective services in opposition to the ruinous fallacy of inflation and irredeemable paper money.

We owe you an apology for not having paid the expenses incurred by you, and earnestly request you to indicate the amount and we will remit.

  1. Chairman State Republican committee.
