Hants Regt., Jan., 1916, on Western Front until appointed Brigade Commander, Aug., 1916; commanded 115th, 224th. and 7th Infantry Brigade successively: Brig.-Gen. (temp.), Aug., 1916-April, 1919; third son of late Lieut.-Col. J. F. Hickie, of Slevoyre, Borrisokane: b. 1872; m. 1903, Edith, only dau. of late Capt. M. H. Thunder, of Coolnagloose, Co.
