MacGARRY, Councillor Mrs. Margt. O'Flynn. Interested in Irish Feminist Suffrage deputation to Westminster (1912). Associated with Sinn Fein Party since its foundation in 1904-5. Bearer of despatches from the Dublin leaders of Insurrection to City of Limerick, Easter Monday, 1916. May 1919, presented her city house to American Commission on Irish Independence as their headquarters, Jan. 1920 elected a City Councillor in Sinn Fein interest. May, 1920, proceeded to Rome as Municipal Representative of Dublin women citizens at the beatification ceremonies of Blessed Oliver Plunket. Res.: 5 Fitzwiliam Square, Dublin; Glenvar, Blackrock, Co.
