R.A.M.C, 1916-19; served in Egypt and Palestine, 1915-19; at different times attached to No. 17 General Hospital, Alexandria, 5th Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance (Sinai, Gaza, and Jerusalem Campaign), and No. 7 Prisoner of War Hospital, Tel-el-Kebir, and commanded No. 3 Egyptian Detention Hospital "in the field." Received thanks of War Office; decorations, 1914-15, Star, General Service and Victory Medals.
