An Act to Encourage the Trade to Newfoundland

The first legislation respecting Newfoundland passed by the British Parliament. A primary document in the constitutional history of Newfoundland, where it is known as King William's Act[1] or The Newfoundland Act, it remained in effect through the eighteenth century.
