Phra Bat Somdet Phra Paramin Maha Prajadhipok Phra Pok Klao Chaoyuhua gives a great royal command by which He declares to all as follows:

Whereas the House of Representatives has advised Him that it is appropriate to amend certain sections of the Penal Code;

Therefore, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, He orders with His gracious pleasure that the following Act be enacted:

Section1.This Act shall be called the "Act Amending the Penal Code, 2477 Buddhist Era (No. 3)".

Section2.This Act shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.

Section3.The following stipulations shall be inserted in the Penal Code as paragraph 2 of section 118:

"If the notified information as said in the first paragraph relates to the commission of any criminal offence, Lord says that he be held guilty and be punished with imprisonment of not over two years and an additional fine of not over a thousand baht."

Section4.The rates of punishment under sections 155, 156, 158, 159, and 160 of the Penal Code shall be repealed and replaced by the following rates of punishment:

Section155:imprisonment from six months up to five years and an additional fine from a hundred baht up to a thousand baht.

Section156:imprisonment from six months up to seven years and an additional fine from two hundred baht up to a thousand baht.

Section158,paragraph 1:imprisonment from three months up to three years and an additional fine from fifty baht up to a thousand baht;

paragraph 2:imprisonment from six months up to five years and an additional fine from a hundred baht up to a thousand baht.

Section159:imprisonment of not over three years and an additional fine from fifty baht up to a thousand baht.

Section160,paragraph 1:imprisonment from one year up to seven years and an additional fine from two hundred baht up to a thousand baht;

paragraph 2:imprisonment from three years up to fifteen years and an additional fine from two hundred baht up to a thousand baht;

paragraph 3:imprisonment from ten years up to the whole life and an additional fine from two hundred baht up to two thousand baht.

Announced on the 13th day of October 2477 Buddhist Era, being the 10th year of the present reign.
