Amending the Penal Code,
2477 Buddhist Era[1] (No. 6)

(according to the royal decree dated 11 January 2476 BE)[2]
Phra Bat Somdet Phra Paramin Maha Prajadhipok Phra Pok Klao Chaoyuhua gives a great royal command by which He declares to all as follows:
Whereas the House of Representatives has advised Him that it is appropriate to amend the Penal Code;
Therefore, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, He orders with His gracious pleasure that the following Act be enacted:
Section1.This Act shall be called the "Act Amending the Penal Code, 2477 Buddhist Era (No. 6)".
Section2.This Act shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.
Section3.Section 13 of the Penal Code of 127 RE (2451 BE)[3] shall be repealed and replaced by the following stipulations:
"Section13.Whoever has been adjudged to a penalty of death shall, Lord ordains, be shot to death.
Section4.Section 14 of the Penal Code of 127 RE (2451 BE)[3] shall be repealed and replaced by the following stipulations:
"Section14.If a penalty of death is to be enforced against any person, Lord ordains that the person be put to death at the place and time found appropriate by the officer in charge thereof. However, the person shall not be put to death within the period of sixty days counted from the day his judgment becomes final."
Section5.All the cases for which the final judgments have been passed since before to the day of coming to force of this Act shall be governed by the former law.
Announced on theday of2477 Buddhist Era,[1] being the 10th year of the present reign.
