มาตรา ๑๘ ศาลจังหวัดมีอำนาจพิจารณาพิพากษาคดีแพ่งและคดีอาญาทั้งปวงที่มิได้อยู่ในอำนาจของศาลยุติธรรมอื่น	Section 18 Provincial courts have the power to try and adjudicate all the civil cases and criminal cases which are not under the power of the other courts of justice.

มาตรา ๑๙ ศาลแพ่ง ศาลแพ่งกรุงเทพใต้ และศาลแพ่งธนบุรี มีอำนาจพิจารณาพิพากษาคดีแพ่งทั้งปวงและคดีอื่นใดที่มิได้อยู่ในอำนาจของศาลยุติธรรมอื่น ศาลอาญา ศาลอาญากรุงเทพใต้ และศาลอาญาธนบุรี มีอำนาจพิจารณาพิพากษาคดีอาญาทั้งปวงที่มิได้อยู่ในอำนาจของศาลยุติธรรมอื่น รวมทั้งคดีอื่นใดที่มีกฎหมายบัญญัติให้อยู่ในอำนาจของศาลที่มีอำนาจพิจารณาคดีอาญา แล้วแต่กรณี

Section 19 The Civil Court, the Southern Bangkok Civil Court, and the Thon Buri Civil Court have the power to try and adjudicate all civil cases and any of the other cases which are not under the power of the other courts of justice. The Criminal Court, the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court, and the Thon Buri Criminal Court have the power to try all the criminal cases which are not under the power of the other courts of justice, as well as any of the other cases which a law provides to be under the power of a court of criminal jurisdiction, as the case may be.

มาตรา ๒๐ ศาลยุติธรรมอื่นมีอำนาจพิจารณาพิพากษาคดีตามที่พระราชบัญญัติจัดตั้งศาลนั้นหรือกฎหมายอื่นกำหนดไว้	Section 20 Other courts of justice have the power to try and adjudicate cases as determined by their constituent acts or other laws.
