To M. Marius

Cumae, 21 November 46 BC

M. Cicero says hello to M. Marius

On the 22nd I came to my villa at Cumae with your Libo, or ours rather. I'm considering going to my villa at Pompeii immediately, but I will inform you in advance. I want you to be well not only always but certainly while I'm here; for you see after how long we will be together. Therefore, if you have some appointment with gout, make sure you put it off for another day. So, take care you are well, and expect me in the next two or three days.
