Fortune leaves those who are arbitrary, and comes to those who are resolute.
Fortune leaves those who are stubborn, and comes to those who are confident.
Fortune leaves those who quibble, and comes to those who understand truth.
Fortune leaves those who are thoughtless, and comes to those who are spirited.
Fortune leaves those with bravery on their shoulder, and comes to those with bravery in their gut.
Fortune leaves those who act on their emotions, and comes to those who use their wits.
Fortune leaves those generous to themselves, and comes to those generous to others.
Fortune leaves those who give way to despair, and comes to those spurred to passion.
Fortune leaves those who curse others, and comes to those who love others.
Fortune leaves those who despise themselves, and comes to those who defend their lot.
Fortune leaves those whose desires are many, and comes to those whose desires are great.
Fortune leaves those who stand by and watch, and comes to those who struggle.
