Pinglopiketoj / Tiny Pin Pricks  (1912)
by Czesław Jastrzębiec Kozłowski, translated from Esperanto by Wikisource
Published in 1912 in the book Peteloj (Petals)

Literal English Translation Original Esperanto

So many tiny pains! and every one dashes at the heart!
So small that, truthfully, they're not worth speaking of.
However, these tiny wounds tire me and don't allow
Me to bravely accept larger, nobler pains.

Tiom da etaj doloroj! kaj ĉiu al koro rapidas!
Tiom malgrandaj, ke, vere, pri ili ne indas paroli.
Tamen ĉi tiuj vundetoj lacigas min kaj malpermesas,
Ke mi akceptu kuraĝe pli grandan, pli noblan doloron.
