Announcement of
Appointment of Prime Minister

His Majesty King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej is pleased to give a Great Royal Command that it be announced as follows:
Whereas Members of the House of Representatives have been elected in accordance with the Constitution, by which cause the Council of Ministers currently administering the State is required to leave office, and the President of the of Representatives has notified His Most Gracious Majesty of the resolution passed by the House of Representatives on the 5th day of August 2554 approving the appointment of Nangsao Yingluck Shinawatra as Prime Minister through the votes of more than half of the total number of the existing Members of the House of Representatives;
Therefore, He entertains the opinion that Nangsao Yingluck Shinawatra is the person to whom He should entrust the prime ministership.
By the power under the disposition of section 171 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, He is graciously pleased to appoint Nangsao Yingluck Shinawatra as Prime Minister to administer the State henceforth.
Announced on the 5th day of August 2554 Buddhist Era, being the 66th year of the present reign.
