Royal Decree
Dissolving the National Legislative Assembly,
2516 BE

Given on the 16th day of December 2516 BE
Being the 28th year of the present reign

Phra Bat Somdet Phra Paramin Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej gives a great royal command by which He orders with His pleasure that it be announced as follows:

Whereas He entertains an opinion that a great number of Members of the National Legislative Assembly has expressed the desire to resign from memberships and the number of the remaining Members does not suffice to constitute a quo​rum of the National Legislative Assembly, for which reason it is appropriate to dissolve the National Legislative Assembly, in order that new Members of the National Legislative Assembly would be appointed in keeping with the present situation;

Therefore, by virtue of the power under the stipulations of section 16 of the Charter for the Administration of the Kingdom, 2515 Buddhist Era, He orders with His gracious pleasure that the following Royal Decree be enacted:

Section⁠1.⁠This Royal Decree is called the "Royal Decree Dissolving the National Legislative Assembly, 2516 BE".

Section⁠2.⁠This Royal Decree shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.

Section⁠3.⁠The National Legislative Assembly shall be dissolved in order that [new] Members would be appointed in the number designated by the Charter for the Administration of the Kingdom to once again constitute the National Legislative Assembly according to the Charter for the Administration of the Kingdom.

Section⁠4.⁠The Prime Minister shall be in charge of the execution of this Royal Decree.
