Paragraph 1- A gift is like a divorce document in that he cannot give over words to an agent. How so? If one tells to three, “tell so and so and so and so to write and sign a gift-document and give it to so and so,” it is it of no effect. If those three told the witness and they wrote and gave to the recipient, the recipient would not acquire and all the more so in a case where they themselves signed. Similarly, if one tells two to write and sign a gift-document and give it so and so, they cannot tell a scribe to write. Rather, they themselves would write. There are those who allow it where the donor says, “tell so and so and so and so that they should write and sign a gift-document and give it to so and so.”
