I'll be translating this book from the Masoretic Text, and, as usual, footnoting any place where I diverge from the Masoretic Text. To make this draft translation, I will look whenever I feel like it at the King James Version, and at E. L. Curtis's (1910) commentary on Chronicles, not because those are the best sources, but because they are out of copyright, and I can freely borrow wording from either one wherever it seems suitable without any worry about copyright.

Ideally, either myself or someone else will follow up, and correct this draft in any places where newer scholarship has indicated it should be corrected. But for now, this is the plan, and I'll update it as necessary. Alephb (talk) 00:13, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

As I'm moved along in this book, I've also looked occasionally for inspiration to the ASV, and to a much lesser extent the 1917 Jewish Publication Society translation, and Young's Literal Translation. On ancient manuscripts, I've relied implicitly on Curtis, Rahlf's Septuagint, and the Biblia Hebraica Kittel. For Hebrew words, I've been looking things up frequently in Gesenius and Brown-Driver-Briggs. Alephb (talk) 00:01, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
