Sources, 1-4[edit]

The first four verses of Judges 1 were already there when I arrived, and I don't know who put them there, or their sources.

As for the rest of chapter 1, I've used the Masoretic Text, and made no text-critical decisions. As I've translated, I've felt free to use wording from the King James Version and Gesenius' Lexicon whenever it suited me. Both are public domain resources. Alephb (talk) 05:41, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sources, 6-21[edit]

Chapter 6 is translated from the Masoretic Text. Alephb (talk) 04:24, 18 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Throughout these chapters, I've freely used the KJV's wording wherever it seemed useful and in line with the Hebrew original. I've also looked at Gesenius's dictionary here and there. Alephb (talk) 06:33, 19 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Draft Ready[edit]

The book is now finished (at least in the sense that there is a rough draft translation available for the whole book).

Except for chapter 5, all chapters are sourced to the Masoretic Text. The translator of 5 has not explicitly stated what source they used, although it is almost certainly based on the Masoretic Text. It would be useful if someone could work on the sentence structure and format of chapter 5, bringing it more in line with the rest of the translations here.
