Chap. VIII.—An Act making a partial appropriation for the military service of the United States, for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-one.
Sums appropriated,—Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums be, and they are hereby, appropriated, on account of the military service for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-one, to wit:
For subsistence.For subsistence of the army of the United States, one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Arrearages.For arrearages on the settlement of outstanding claims, twenty thousand dollars.
Quartermaster’s department.For the quartermaster’s department, one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said sums be paid out of any moneys in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated.
