Chap. CCLXXXIII.An Act to provide for purchasing materials and for the support of the penitentiary in the District of Columbia.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Appropriation. That the sum of seven thousand nine hundred and sixty-five dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated for the purpose of furnishing raw materials for manufacture and for the support of the penitentiary in the District of Columbia, to be expended under the direction of the board of inspectors of said penitentiary, and to be paid out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
