Open proxy block[edit]

Hello Emir214. You contacted me about an open proxy block, but you didn't include the IP address that was blocked as an open proxy. Without this information, which is available on the blocked-edit page, I cannot investigate the block. However, if you've only recently been affected by an open proxy block, you were probably rotated to a blocked proxy by your Internet service provider. In that case, please wait a short while or try disconnecting and reconnecting; your service provider should then rotate you away from the blocked proxy, and you will be able to edit again. :) For more information about open proxies, why they're blocked, and what you can do, please see the WikiProject on open proxies. // Pathoschild(admin / talk) 22:03, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Open proxies are often used for vandalism, and the IP address you mentioned in your e-mail was indeed used to vandalize Wikipedia (by a vandal who uses hundreds of open proxies all over the world to attack Wikipedia). For this reason, we usually block open proxies indefinitely. -- Curps 06:18, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

SERENATA nominated for deletion[edit]

Computerjoe nominated an article that you created, SERENATA, for deletion. If you think that the article is salvagable, or that he's mistaken, please comment on its deletion page. Please see the Guide to deletion if you have any questions about Wikipedia's deletion process. -- —C.Fred (talk) 01:40, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Windows Media Player[edit]

Your edit to Windows Media Player was reverted and deemed unconstructive because you're including information about beta (not in production) releases. Thanks. — nathanrdotcom (T • C • W) 04:00, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

I've reverted your latest changes to Windows Media Player. As nathanrdotcom has already said, the screenshot shown in this article should reflect the released version, not a beta version. Please don't make this change again. Warrens 05:12, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

edit summary[edit]

Your edit summary on your recent reversion of vandalism at Development of Windows Vista made me laugh out loud, thanks! :) Warrens 22:15, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!!!!!!!! I store edit sources of Windows Vista, in case of updates! -Emir214 15:27, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Please help me - Emir214 15:27, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I've moved the image to the right and added the table like you requested. Please bear in mind that helpme is usually not to be used for general HTML/wiki syntax help, and future helpers may choose not to help you with such matters. That having been said, good luck with your user page. Cheers, Tangot|ango 15:54, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Reply: New Articles[edit]

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

For a list of new articles requested, see Wikipedia:Requested articles - this is not my list but rather wikipedias list of requested articles. In terms of articles that require cleanup this is Category:Wikipedia backlog which is also very extensive.

Depending on the subject it may be hard to track down. 21:26, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Category:IP addresses used by Wikipedia users[edit]

This category is only a list of IP addresses, not a list of banned, blocked and suspected sockpuppets of users. Please verify this!!!! - Emir214 07:36, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Categories themselves are supposed to belong to other categories. See the uncategorized categories list, which I was working on when I got to Category:IP addresses used by Wikipedia users. I put it in Category:Wikipedia user intervention which is the only place I could find dealing with mapping IP addresess to users. Given that ALL categories save one are supposed to have parents, where do you think is the correct place for Category:IP addresses used by Wikipedia users? I'm also not sure I understand why such a category is needed in the first place, since you already have an account, why not just log in? -- ProveIt (talk) 15:55, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
