Fountain of Praise is a worship and creative arts enterprise and through music, events and resources, we are seeking to evoke a spirit of worship in the land thereby inspiring humanity to draw nearer to their Maker. All our income is re-invested in the above stated vision.

Where we are coming from

Fountain of Praise started as the group responsible for leading worship and music ministration in Jubilee Christian Centre, a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God which with Gboyega Aboderin as Pastor-in-Charge.

In leading worship, we seek to do so simply, sincerely and passionately with the sole desire of seeing that people encounter and experience the Lord.

Jubilee was founded in December, 1993 and a group of people formed the choir. For the following two years, the choir had more down than ups and there was an apparent hunger for something more. Early 1995, Wale Adenuga and Theophilus Emmanuel, decided to meet every monday morning before they went to the office to pray. They prayed that God will start something new with the group and they will become a people who will make an impact on the Earth. God started to answer those prayers. And He is still answering them today. First, Wale, started to write praise and worship songs like "You Alone Are Worthy Lord, Today O!, It is You and others. Also Bimpe Afolabi a member of the group wrote Ta lo da bi re [Hosanna]. For instance, none of us in our wildest dreams ever imagined that songs like Today O! taught on a Sunday morning in Jubilee will become one Nigeria's best loved praise and worship songs.

What we have been doing

Aside from being lead worshippers in Jubilee Christian Centre, we have has recorded four albums namely Surely As My God Lives (1997), Hosanna (1999), Of A Truth (2001), Friend of the Light (2004) and Too much for me (2005)

Of A Truth, Friend of the Light and Too much for me are live worship recordings which has seen Fountain of Praise collaborating with other gifted and anointed music ministers like Bob Fitts, David Baroni, Panam Percy Paul and Kunle Ajayi amongst others.

Cummulative sales of all recordings is in excess of half a million copies.

Through Effective Worship Seminars, we have and continue to organize worship conferences inviting first rate, experienced and anointed ministers from all over the world. These include - Bob Fitts - Lynn Deshazo [writer of songs like Be magnified, More precious than silver etc] - John Chisum [one time song development director at Integrity Music] - David Baroni [grammy award winning song-writer] - Andy Park [author, songwriter and worship leader]

Since November 1997, we have held more than a dozen of such conferences with thousands of participants drawn from hundreds of churches of different denominations. These conferences have held in Lagos, Warri, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kaduna, Nakuru [Kenya] and London [United Kingdom].

Fountain of Praise has commenced Worshipforchange, a series of benefit concerts. The first WorshipforChange concert held on April 30 and the beneficiaries were children with Down's Syndrome. We were able to raise over half a million naira for them. In September, we continued our social entrepreneurial effort by organizing the Not Alone concert for the Children at the Hearts of Gold Hospice. So far, we've been able to raise over N650,000 for these children.
