NAWAB HAJI ISMAIL KHAN (57)

Ismail Khan, Nawab Haji, of Datauli, was born in 1852, and educated at Datauli and Mecca. He is descended from military officers who came to India with the Lodhis and Khiljis in the fourteenth century. His father, Haji Mohammad Faiz Ahmad, Khan Saheb, Shardani, was a talukdar of importance. The Nawab, who received his personal title on the occasion of the recent Coronation Durbar, has been a member of the United Provinces Council, and a Trustee of Aligarh College, and is now a Municipal Commissioner, Honorary Magistrate and Trustee of the College at Agra. He has written many pamphlets and newspaper articles. Address : Datauli, Aligarh District : also Agra.
