I'm going to remove Asimov, Clarke, Le Guin and Salinger from the list, since their works are decades out of the public domain yet. I'll leave Hemingway, since some of his earlier works will start coming into the PD soon. -- illy 02/17/2006

For now, I'm done adding authors to this list. I've covered the wikipedia list for US, UK, Canada, Australia, and South African novelists and short story writers. Anybody else should please feel free to add other authors who have works in the PD in english. -- illy 21:26 02/17/2006 (UTC)
