Wikisource:WikiProject Biographical dictionaries

Scope

The idea behind this project is to enable the plethora of available biographical dictionaries to be listed, and to find an audience to transcribe the works of interest.

The information in such works is often related to notable people in their field at that time, though non-famous people. These works often form the original reference point for later major works. As such these works support the building of articles at Wikipedia, and the populating of data fields at Wikidata, as well as supporting the building of Wikisource's reference data of works and authors.
