Cassell’s Illustrated History of England project #3 of 9 volumes[edit]

Editors of Cassell's Illustrated History of England volume 3[edit]

  • Kathleen Wright 5 (corrections and validations )
  • ShakespeareFan00 (proofreading, validating)
  • Tannersf did the transclusion.
What was the Volume 1 format, because I think on Volume 2 some things changed like image captions? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 23:03, 16 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Please read my reply to the above that you placed on my talk page. The answer is the same. Thank you for pointing the situation out so we can perhaps focus upon it better. —Maury (talk) 00:01, 17 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Please do NOT speed proof, or do a large amount (20+ pages). - Tannertsf (talk) 10:50, 17 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Notes for Proofreaders[edit]

Images[edit]

Images should be inserted as

{{dhr}}
[[File:filename.ext|frameless|center|<!-- img size in pixels -->]]
{{center|{{Smaller| <!-- Caption text --> }}}}
{{dhr}}

Consideration should be given for non full-page images to positioning the image at a natural paragraph or break in the text flow.

Please marks pages with missing images as "Problematic" so that they can be identified for another contributor to insert them at the appropriate location.

Quoted material (typically in smaller font)[edit]

Quotes should be

{{quote|{{smaller block| Lorem ipsum &c. ... }}}}

where ... is the text content

Chapter headings[edit]

Use

{{center|{{larger| Chapter CXX. }}

{{smaller block|Chapter subhead.

{{block center|{{hi| Lorem ipsum—Lorem ipsum—Lorem ipsum—Lorem ipsum—Lorem ipsum—Lorem ipsum—Lorem ipsum.}}}}}}}}

If the chapter heading is not at the top of a column, you will need to add a small rule as follows.

<section end="foo" />
{{dhr}}{{rule|3em}}{{dhr}}
<section begin="bar" />
<!-- Chapter heading as detailed above -->
...
