Clarification[edit]

Forgive me for being dense, but am I correct in thinking that this template is for tagging texts which already have djvu scans, but where the text layer (or whatever it's called) of the djvu file does not correspond to the text on Wikisource? That's probably not a very clear question... what I mean is: why was this given this template? As far as I can see, the text needs to be migrated from the djvu, not to it! Thanks for any help! — Sam Wilson ( TalkContribs ) … 09:09, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

My apologies. I used the wrong template. John Vandenberg (chat) 09:53, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Righto. But I'm still not sure about this template: it means that a text's content has to be moved from djvu scans to the wiki, doesn't it? So why's it called 'Migrate to djvu' and not 'from'? I mean, I don't think it particularly matters (I'm more into getting on and doing the migrating than talking about what it's called), but perhaps the process that this template is hinting at is something good—i.e. that maybe it would be nice to be able to replace the text layer of djvu files with our own corrected text from Wikisource? (I've not idea if that's possible, but it seems that it'd be nice to be able to download the djvu file from Commons and have it contain the correct text.) Just an idea. — Sam Wilson ( TalkContribs ) … 02:39, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
