OGATH. A place in North America not far from the hill Ramah (Cumorah), and consequently in the modern State of New York (Ether, 15:10). Here Shiz, for four years, gathered those of the Jaredites, men, women, and children, who sympathized with his cause, preparatory to the final contest which ended in the utter destruction of the Jaredite race.
