LUGGAR, or LUGGARD (WILLIAM), bookseller in London. (1) Blind Knight, Holborn; (2) Upon Holborn Bridge; (3) Postern by the Tower. 1599-1658. Apprentice with Henry Carr. Took up his freedom July 21st, 1597. Publisher of mathematical and nautical books. In partnership with William Fisher, q.v. Died in 1658. [Smyth's Obituary, p. 47.]
